If you’re searching for a roofing contractor in Manchester, NH, you want two things: a roof that stands up to New Hampshire winters, and a company that shows up, tells you the truth, and finishes what it started. Prescott Roofing is a local roofing company serving Manchester and the surrounding Queen City neighborhoods with roof replacement, roof repair, emergency leak repair, and full-service storm damage insurance claim support. From the North End to the West Side, we’ve seen what nor’easters, ice dams, and 30-year-old shingles do to Manchester homes — and we know how to fix it right.
Our Services in Manchester
Roof Replacement in Manchester, NH
Manchester’s housing stock runs from 1890s Victorians and triple-deckers near Elm Street to 1960s ranches in Hallsville and newer colonials off Wellington Road. Each one ages differently, but most asphalt roofs in Manchester are ready for replacement somewhere between 18 and 25 years thanks to freeze-thaw cycles, heavy snow load, and summer UV. If your roof is curling, shedding granules into the gutters, or showing dark streaks and bare patches, it’s time for a real inspection — not a guess from the driveway.
Our Manchester roof replacement service includes a full tear-off (no layering over old shingles), inspection and repair of plywood decking, ice-and-water shield along eaves, valleys, and penetrations, synthetic underlayment, and a properly ventilated ridge. We install architectural asphalt shingles from major manufacturers, standing seam metal roofing for homeowners who want a 50-year roof, and EPDM rubber roofing for low-slope additions and porch roofs common on Manchester’s older homes. You get a written, line-item estimate before we touch anything. We offer flexible financing options.
Roof Repair & Emergency Leak Repair in Manchester
Not every roof needs replacing. Missing shingles after a windstorm, a leaking pipe boot, cracked step flashing against a chimney, or a soft spot near a valley can often be repaired for a fraction of a new roof — if it’s caught early. Prescott Roofing provides roof repair in Manchester, NH with same-week scheduling and emergency roof repair for active leaks. When you call about water coming through the ceiling, we prioritize getting your home dry first (tarping and temporary sealing), then give you an honest recommendation: repair, or replace.
Storm Damage Roof Repair & Insurance Claims — Manchester’s Specialists
This is where Prescott Roofing is different. We come from the insurance restoration world. We know how adjusters inspect, how claims are documented, and what a fair scope looks like. If wind, hail, ice dams, or a fallen tree limb damaged your Manchester roof, we will:
- Perform a free storm damage roof inspection with photo documentation
- Help you understand what your homeowners policy actually covers
- Meet your insurance adjuster on-site so nothing gets missed
- Prepare a detailed, line-item scope that matches industry-standard estimating
- Handle supplements if the initial approval doesn’t cover the real repair
Most Manchester homeowners with legitimate storm damage pay only their deductible for a full roof replacement. We’ll tell you plainly whether your damage is claim-worthy — and if it isn’t, we’ll tell you that too.

Ice Dams, Snow Load & Winter Roof Damage in Manchester
Manchester averages well over five feet of snow in a typical winter, and ice dams are the #1 winter roofing call we get. Ice dams form when heat escaping through the attic melts snow that refreezes at the cold eaves, forcing water back under the shingles and into the walls. We fix the cause, not just the symptom: proper attic ventilation, air sealing, ice-and-water shield extended above the warm wall line, and correct insulation depth. If you’ve had ice dam damage this winter, ask us about a winter roof damage inspection — it’s often an insurable loss.
